12/03/11 The annual event was reviewed. The committee was pleased overall and it was reported that the event came in under budget. Thank you notes will be sent to those special guests who participated. Only a few notes were made with regard to any changes for next years event. The Scholarship committee recommended that payments be made directly to students who submit proof of enrollment. Previously payment was made to the institution, but often times, those students receiving aid have that aid reduced by the amount of any scholarship they recieve. Clay reported on the alamo scanning project and it is moving along! Everyone was encouraged to view the book that is complete. (a link can be found on our SEVICES tab). The nominating committee has done it's job and Walter will be calling a meeting of the directors to nominate officers in the coming weeks.
